Pick-up from Alexandria Port

Your private guide from Tango Travel will greet you outside the port gates with a sign bearing your name. You'll board a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle for a scenic drive to Cairo. The journey takes approximately 3 hours, during which your Egyptologist guide will share insights about Egypt's ancient and modern history.

Arrival in Giza: Explore the Pyramids from Alexandria Port

Your adventure begins at the legendary Giza Plateau, home to the last remaining wonder of the ancient world: the Great Pyramid of King Khufu. You’ll also visit the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure, all guarded by the iconic Great Sphinx—a mythical creature with a lion’s body and a pharaoh’s head.

You’ll have time to walk around the pyramids, take photos, and if you wish, enter the interior of one of them (optional ticket not included). A short camel ride is also available for a unique photo opportunity.

Lunch at a Local Restaurant

Enjoy a delicious Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the pyramids or in the heart of Cairo. The meal includes a selection of grilled meats, fresh salads, rice, and traditional bread. Vegetarian options are available upon request.

Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)

Head to the brand-new Grand Egyptian Museum, located near the pyramids in Giza. This cutting-edge museum is the largest archaeological museum in the world and houses over 100,000 artifacts, including the entire treasure collection of King Tutankhamun displayed for the first time in one place.

Highlights include:

• The colossal statue of Ramses II in the Grand Hall
• King Tut’s golden mask, chariots, and jewelry
• Interactive digital displays and immersive galleries
• Statues, coffins, and relics from the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms

Your guide will lead you through the most important galleries while leaving time to explore sections of the museum on your own if desired.

Optional Free Time / Shopping Stop

Depending on your interests and remaining time, you may visit a local papyrus institute, a perfume workshop, or a traditional bazaar for authentic souvenirs and crafts.

Drive Back to Alexandria Port

Begin the return journey to Alexandria. Sit back, relax, and reflect on the rich experiences of the day. You will be dropped off safely and on time at your cruise ship. Your guide will ensure a smooth handoff and help with any final questions.
