07:00 AM – Meet & Greet at Aqaba Port

As your cruise ship docks at Aqaba Port, a representative from Tango Travel will be waiting for you with a sign bearing your name. You’ll board your comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle and begin your scenic drive to Petra.

07:15 AM – Depart for Petra (Approx. 2-hour drive)

Relax as you journey through the dramatic Wadi Araba desert landscapes. Your guide will provide insight into Jordan's history, Bedouin culture, and Petra’s unique legacy.

09:30 AM – Arrival at Petra Visitor Center

Upon arrival, your entrance fees will be handled, and you’ll begin the walking tour with your licensed guide. A shuttle service may also be used to shorten the walking distance to the entrance of the Siq.

10:00 AM – Walk through the Siq

Begin your walk through the Siq, a natural rock corridor with towering sandstone walls over 80 meters high. Along the way, your guide will point out carvings, aqueducts, and niches once used for rituals.

10:30 AM – First Glimpse of the Treasury (Al-Khazneh)

As the Siq narrows, it dramatically opens to reveal the Treasury — one of the most awe-inspiring ancient monuments in the world. Stop for photos and learn about its possible uses, myths, and historical context.

11:00 AM – Explore the Street of Facades & Royal Tombs

Continue walking along the Street of Facades, where elaborate tombs were carved for Nabatean elites. Then ascend to the Royal Tombs, offering sweeping views and insight into Petra's social structure.

12:00 PM – Visit the Theater and Colonnaded Street

Pass the Nabatean Theater, capable of seating 3,000 people, and reach the ancient colonnaded street that once served as Petra’s commercial heart.

Optional: For fit travelers, a 40-minute hike up 800 rock-cut steps leads to the Monastery (Ad-Deir) — a highlight many say is even more impressive than the Treasury.

01:30 PM – Enjoy Local Jordanian Lunch

Exit Petra and head to a local restaurant for a traditional buffet lunch, featuring dishes such as hummus, grilled meats, rice, salads, and sweets.

02:30 PM – Return Journey to Aqaba Port

After lunch, board your vehicle for the return trip to Aqaba. Relax and reflect on your adventure.

04:30 PM – Arrival at Cruise Ship (Guaranteed On-Time Return)

Arrive back at Aqaba Port with plenty of time before your cruise ship’s departure.
